Paint Protection Film

PPF is a durable high-grade colorless urethane film applied to high-impact areas of your vehicle that take the brunt of damaging stones and road debris. The film helps protect from stone chips, scratches, bug damage, road tar stains and automotive fluid stains, as well as punishing outdoor weathering. Automotive OEMs use this film to protect visible surfaces such as the leading edge of the hood, rocker panels, wheel flairs, door openings – and other non-visible surfaces. PPF offers excellent film clarity and gloss retention, with a proprietary, protective clearcoat for optimal surface protection.

Rocks, bugs, sand, keys, salt — the elements can damage your paint. Protect it with a clear paint protection film from 3M. 3M™ Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film Pro Series delivers superior protection to automotive surfaces against scratches, chips and weathering. Our Pro Series film features a self-healing formula that enables minor scratches to disappear by themselves. 3M clear coat technology provides exceptional stain, weather and abrasion resistance, helping to preserve the car’s showroom quality finish for years.

3M warrants that applied 3M™ Paint Protection Film Pro Series will be free of defects in materials and manufacture — including yellowing, bubbling or cracking — for ten (10) years from date of purchase. Please see product brochure for complete details.

The cost of a paint protection film installation depends on many different factors, primarily the size of the vehicle, coverage options and the specific film you’d like to use. There isn’t a standard price tag for a high-quality, professional installation. The best way to find out what paint protection film installation would cost is to speak to one of our 3M Authorized installers, who will be able to offer you advice and an accurate quote, based on your personal needs and desired outcome.

Caring for your 3M™ Paint Protection Film is easy. After film installation, wait one week before washing or waxing your vehicle to help ensure proper adhesion build of the film has been achieved. No special maintenance is required but if you would like to wax your vehicle, use waxes that do not contain dyes, abrasive polishes and/or rubbing compounds. 3M recommends 3M™ Performance Finish when waxing your car. After waxing your car, you can remove any wax build-up along film edges with a lint-free cloth.
